The competition season came to a close at Gosfield Lake Golf Club with the Junior Christmas Classic as the club’s youngsters battled for honours on the Lakes and Meadows courses.
It was a cold and windy day, but despite the less than ideal conditions, some excellent scores were returned.
Winner on the Lakes course was Joe Richards with a nett 71, while runner-up was Jack Stoney with a nett 72 and third place went to Chris Gliddon with a nett 73.
The Meadows course winner was Ed Horseman, with second place going to Tom Dickason and third to Denys Hellary.
The day’s competition was followed by a Christmas lunch when each junior received an award and all the prizes were sponsored by Gosfield Lake members.
The winners received their prizes from club captain Geoff Powdrill.
