Town need to cut out mistakes: Benterman

HALSTEAD Town need to cut out individual errors and stop giving away “cheap” goals.

That’s the view of assistant boss Mark Benterman, frustrated after two defeats and a draw from the club’s last three games.

Town were in front twice before drawing 3-3 at Great Yarmouth Town on Saturday.

They then lost 3-2 at home to neighbours Braintree Town Reserves on Tuesday night.

“When you score five goals in two games, you expect to finish with more than a point,” said Benterman, whose side are away to second-from-bottom Stowmarket tomorrow.

“But we’ve let ourselves down by making too many individual mistakes and giving away cheap goals.

“It’s something we need to rectify ASAP."
