Conditions fail to deter Norman

NORMAN Stechman overcame horrible conditions to win the fifth round of the seniors’ Winter League at The Essex Golf and Country Club.
He saw his handicap cut by one to 19 after returning 42 points, which kept him four points ahead of second-placed Bill Sharpe (12).
Jim Duignan (15) was three points further behind in third, with 35.
