Morrison is delighted to receive award

ONE of Earls Colne Cricket Club’s young stars has picked up a £200 award, to benefit other young players.
Alex Morrison, who lives in the village and is a student at Halstead’s Ramsey College, has been awarded the Jack Petchey Bronze Achievement Award.
The 13-year-old will now have a say on how the money is spent, to benefit all the club’s young colts players with new equipment or perhaps a day out at a major cricketing event.
The club has recently become part of the prestigious scheme.
