ANDY Smith's win in the final game of the night gave the singles points to Eagle B in their Braintree Open Darts League tie against Bocking Club, but the overall match ended in a draw.

Bocking Club had won in the ladies, but the Eagle responded with a 2-1 win in the pairs and there was a draw in the triples.

The two Wethersfield teams - Club and Raiders - played each other and after a draw in the ladies, a 2-1 win in the pairs for the Club and a draw in the triples, there was little in it going into the singles.

Phil Holmes' opening singles win got the Raiders on level terms and while the next two went to the Club, the Raiders took the next four to secure the singles and match points.

Cressing B's Tracy Newman and Linda Goodwin won the ladies at Notley Sports, who responded with a 3-0 win in the pairs but Cressing took the triples to hold the advantage going into the singles.

Kelvin Byrne and Paul Fletcher had Cressing on a roll in the opening singles and although wins for Ted Ullmer and Graham Chinnery got Notley back in the hunt, the final three games all went Cressing's way for match success.

Cressing A, meanwhile, won the ladies and claimed the pairs 3-0 against the Angel, before a draw in the triples was followed by two opening singles wins to ensure overall match victory.

The Angel's Malcolm Stark did take a singles win, but Cressing took the remaining four games.

Braintree Football Club's Nicky Bewick and Lynn Kelly claimed the ladies against visiting the Swiss Bell, before the hosts took the pairs 2-1, drew the triples and had Mark Tilley winning in the first singles tie.

Dan Lynn and Chris Cook did pull games back for the Swiss, but Bewick, Phil Holmes and Kelly ensured singles and match success for the home side.

Kevin Taylor hit a 180 and high out shots were recorded by Alex Chandler, with a 102, and Tracey Newman, with a 100.
