THERE was a huge thrill for the younger members of Witham Cricket Club as they got to pose with the County Cricket Championship Trophy during one of their regular training sessions.
The trophy, which was won by Essex last year 2017 and was on loan from the County Champions, was kindly brought to the colts' training by Graham Pryke, Cricket Development Manager at Essex County Cricket Club.
There were more than 50 Witham youngsters present and all of them had the chance to hold the trophy and have pictures taken with the precious piece of silverware.
The same morning also saw a match for Witham's under-12s against Long Melford, which Witham won by one run.
