WIVENHOE figure skater Alexandra Appleby helped Team Viola claim victory at the British Synchronised Skating Championships, in Nottingham.
Appleby, who has been travelling to Ice Arena Wales in Cardiff at weekends to train and compete with the senior elite synchronised skating team, excelled at the Motorpoint Arena.
The Colchester Sixth Form College student helped the team place first in both the short and the free events and claim first place overall with a 25-point lead, to become 2018 Senior British Synchronised Skating champions.
Appleby's Singles Ice Professionals, John Wicker and Jane Faux, came to support the Viola team at the event.
The duo both continue to develop her singles skating skills at Riverside Ice and Leisure, in Chelmsford.
