BOTH the singles and pairs competitions are dependant on the results of the final matches of the Braintree Open Darts League's winter season, but three competitions have already been decided.

Regardless of what happens in the last matches, Cressing are triples and league winners and the Swiss Bell are the ladies' winners.

Cressing A's 2 -1 win in the pairs and a draw in the triples gave them the early match advantage going into the singles against Eagle B.

Alex Chandler's 2-0 win put the Eagle back into contention but with Cressing winning the remaining games, they had the singles and match points secured,

Wethersfield Raiders lost their pairs match against Cressing B before holding the visitors to a draw in the triples.

The first four games saw honours shared but with Cressing winning the next two they had the singles and match points in the bag.

Bocking took on the Retreat and despite a 3-0 loss in the pairs, they fought back to hold the visitors to a draw in the triples.

Colin Barnard's win in the opening singles gave Bocking a route back but with the Retreat winning five of the remaining games they had the singles and overall match victory.

Eagle A had a 2-1 pairs win over visiting Wethersfield Raiders before the teams played out a draw in the triples.

The opening exchanges saw singles honours shared but a 2-0 win for Paul Bragg in the sixth secured the singles for Wethersfield, before a 2-1 win for Terry Corder ensured the overall match finished in a draw.

Horse and Groom were on the back foot against Swiss Bell after a 3-0 loss in the pairs, a draw in the triples and an opening singles win for Tony Holland.

Mark Wooster and Kelly Willis chalked up wins for the Groom, but with the Swiss claimed wins in the final three for singles and match honours.

Notley Sports had a bad start at Legends, suffering a 3-0 loss in the pairs before settling down to draw the triples.

Dave Islip's 2-0 win in the opening singles steadied the ship further, but Legends claimed the remaining games.

Richard Chandler hit a 180 and high out shots were recorded by Alex Chandler, with a 126, and Tracy Hayden, with a 76.
