CRESSING A kept up their dominance in the Braintree Open Darts League with a comprehensive display at home against Bocking.

The hosts had a 3-0 win in the pairs and a triples win and despite successess for Bocking's Colin Barnard and Dave Joyce, easily wrapped up the singles.

Braintree Football Club lost 2-0 to the Retreat in the pairs a draw in the triples.

The opening four singles saw honours shared but with the Retreat's Steve O'Neil, Simon Twin and Dave Saunders winning the remaining three games, the visitors had the singles and match won.

Notley Sports held the advantage going into the singles against Cressing B after a 2-1 win in the pairs and a draw in the triples.

Cressing's Kevin Mead levelled things with a 2-1 win, but with wins for Nev Walker, Ted Ullmer, Stewart Thorogood and Graham Chinnery saw Notley have the singles and match won.

After a 2-1 win in the pairs, Swiss Bell lost the triples against Eagle B, who wrapped up the match with wins in the opening four singles.

Eagle A trailed Horse and Groom going into the singles after pairs and triples defeats, but came back with wins for Barry Old and Paul Little in the first two singles games.

Wins for Nat Hammond, Mark Cook and Tash Whitfield completed match honours for Horse and Groom, but Eagle took the singles.

The two Wethersfield teams played each other and it was the Club who went into the singles with a slight match advantage following a 2-1 win in the pairs and a draw in the triples against the Raiders.

However, successes for Brian Thomas, Brendan Hand, Bruce Mawdsley, Andi Thomas and Rob Camp saw the Raiders take singles and match victories.

Kevin Taylor, Lynn Kelly, Dave Benfield and Tony Holland hit 180s and Brian Thomas hit a 108 out shot.
