THOMAS McGee enjoyed a highly successful weekend in both men’s stableford competitions at Braintree Golf Club.
The five-handicapper signed for 43 points on Sunday to finish two ahead of the field.
Rob Whitbread, off seven, took the runners-up spot with 41 and in third place was Roddy MacLeod (23) with 39 points.
On Saturday, three players returned 38 points and after a countback Rob Brand, off 17, was declared the winner ahead of runner-up Ivan Patching (13) and Brian Blackwell (20).
Two more players signed for 37 points with Russell Hedges (13) given fourth spot ahead of McGee.
In the ladies’ midweek stableford, Judith Pryke (10) took top spot with 32 points, one better than runner-up Sue Scott (20) with Pauline Heggerty (36) third with 30.
