A late sending off and equalising goal denied HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS all three points in their Ryman League division north encounter with Bury Town.
Jody Brown's team had been leading 2-0 thanks to strikes from Lewis Godbold and Reece Grant, however, Ryan Jolland halved the deficit with 14 minutes remaining.
And after Simon Glover had been sent off for Swifts in the final minutes of the game, Bury snatched a leveller from Sam Reed in time added-on.
However, while Heybridge took a point from their evening, there were defeats for MALDON & TIPTREE, BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT and WITHAM TOWN.
Maldon went down to a 1-0 defeat at leaders Phoenix Sports as Vences Bola's first-half strike proved decisive.
Brightlingsea, meanwhile, had Aaron Condon on target from the penalty spot in the second half, but Norwich United scored three times before the break and once late on to triumph 4-1.
And there was also frustration for Witham.
They bossed their game against Dereham Town for the opening 70 minutes and led thanks to a Lance Akins goal in the 22nd minute.
However, a sloppy equaliser and a second two minutes later for the Norfolk side saw them leave with all three points as Witham were left ruing not making more of the chances they had.
