TIM Grimsey has made a return to club coaching with a position at National League Two new boys Bury St Edmunds.
The former Colchester Rugby Club head coach and Colchester Sixth Form College tutor has spent a while away from club rugby as he has worked with various England sides, including the prestigious England Counties team, but he felt a spot with the Suffolk side was too good to turn down.
It will see Grimsey working as forwards coach within the four-man coaching unit as Bury prepare for life in National League Two after going up last season as National League Three London and South East champions.
Grimsey said: “It was too good an opportunity to turn down.
“They are National Two and when they rang me up, I just couldn’t say no.
“Bury are a club who are going places and you can see that with the player development they have in place.
“They are semi-pro now and it will stretch my own development as a coach.
“Nothing will change in terms of my work with the England Counties, but National Two is the fourth tier of English rugby and a level where I feel I can push myself.”
