Onley Arms have benefited from chasing teams taking points off each other as their lead has strengthened at the top of the Essex Invitation Petanque League summer season table.
They continued their charge with a 2-1 win at Three Elms B.
Despite a 13-11 defeat for Trevor Blows in the singles, he, Lorne Gibson and Beryl Gibson took a 13-7 win in the triples and the Gibsons wrapped up the match victory with a 13-4 pairs success.
At Billericay, Bocking came away with a 2-1 win.
Pam Adams, Trevor Turner and Malcolm Smith took the triples 13-6 and Turner and David Adams made sure of the match points with a 13-11 win in the pairs.
Blackwater U3A maintained their good form with a 3-0 win over Three Elms A.
