Braintree Sea Angling Club’s latest evening match at Shotley was made tougher by crabs destroying baits within minutes but Barrie Senior just about edged past Paul Drake to claim victory.
At the end of the evening it was close with both Drake and Senior having three fish on their scorecard.
However, Senior just won with his catch of a flounder, a bass and a whiting giving him 43 points to Drake’s 39 points with two bass and a flounder. Kevin Thorpe had a 32cm whiting to take third spot with 24 points.
