TWENTY hardy Great Bentley runners competed in the gruelling Endure 24.
This annual 24-hour individual and team relay event takes place near Aldermaston, in Berkshire.
Rodger Alexander and Ben Ficken chose to compete solo, with Ficken completing 14 laps and 70 miles.
Alexander managed nine laps and 45 miles.
The other Bentley runners competed in a total of four teams. They were: Bentley Blue Belles: Vicky Presland, Lara Townsend, Davina Swindle, Tonie Wilson and Steph Horner. Malcolm’s Machines: Russ Sharp, Charlie Keitch, Darren Horner and Malcolm Jarvis. Only way is Bentley: Kevin Stevens, Sam Godden, Janine Simpson, Jamie Neill and Shawn Leek. Pauls Pals: Paul Carlisle, Gary Hill, Phil Redland and Frank Gardiner. Provisional results: Ladies’ category: Bentley Blue Belles fourth. Men’s category: Pauls Pals 16th. Mixed category: Only Way is Bentley 14th and Malcolm’s Machines 16th.
