HARWICH and Dovercourt Cricket Club hosted their first darts tournament of the year and it proved a huge success.
The first of their four competitions was held on Sunday and Kevin Edwards was crowned the Harwich Open champion.
Edwards was a deserved winner out of the 32 entrants.
His route to the final was not easy, as he came through a tough draw where he defeated Nick Lawrie, Anthony Hawkins, Alan Collins, Joe Twinn and then Martin Heath by five legs to four in a high-class final.
