Jon makes use of the conditions
Favourable conditions saw Jon Goodwin win the Saturday Stableford at Braintree Golf Club.
Goodwin won with 36 points, while second place went to another 13-handicapper, Ivan Patching, who beat Gary Neill (9) on countback after both had 35.
The Sunday Stableford saw new member Philip Musgrove triumph with 39 points off an 18 handicap.
He finished two ahead of Terry Fisher (8), with Adam Marsh (22) third with 35.
RESULTS: Seniors’ Aggregate Stableford: 1 Graham Pickering/Mike Gale/Phill Townsend 90pts (ocb), 2 Dave Bethell/Roy Barnes/Mike Collard 90pts, 3 Ray Jenkyn/Peter Gould/Roger Backhouse.
Seniors Mixed Crescento: 1 Andy Little/Roger Backhouse/Jenny Cousins 85pts, 2 Ken Rowe/John Still/Helen Hart 74pts.
