Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire feels putting their injury woes behind them has helped his team discover their recent good form.

The Iron have endured a long list of injuries to members of their squad at times this year, but have responded strongly to getting players back fit.

Their 2-0 win at Dartford on Boxing Day was their third win in a row and took Braintree up to 15th in the Vanarama Conference Premier table.

They are now ten points clear of the relegation places ahead of Sunday’s home game against Eastleigh and Devonshire felt their improved situation had coincided with the easing of injuries.

He said: “We have had the injuries when we had some of our main players out but once you get people coming back you see the difference.

“We’ve got even more back now and that will be good for this week.

“I will make changes for Sunday because it’s only 48 hours between the games and it was tough work out there at Dartford.

“We’ll see how we go.”
