Witham Town returned home and to winning ways with a 3-2 victory against Hampton and Richmond Borough in the Ryman League premier division.
Having lost on the road in their previous two games, Witham got back on track with a three-point haul at the Village Glass Stadium.
They had to come from behind to do so, though, as Tom Collins gave the visitors the lead in the 25th minute.
Having got themselves in front, Hampton and Richmond were soon reduced to ten men as Saeed Sankoh was dismissed and Jamie Guy, who was making his return to the club after re-signing from Grays Athletic in the week, stepped forward to equalise from the penalty spot.
It stayed 1-1 at half-time, but Witham had the forward impetus and Guy showed that he will be a good acquisition for the club as he put the hosts ahead in the 55th minute.
Kurt Smith then made it 3-1 five minutes after coming on as a substitute to give Witham breathing space and to ensure that Hampton and Richmond's late second goal was only a consolation as Town recorded an important victory.
