Witham Town’s players, staff and fans will be glued to the FA Cup fourth qualifying round draw today for the first time ever in the club’s history.

They made club history on Saturday when beating Needham Market 2-1 in the third qualifying round with goals by Tom Wraight and James Stevens.

It has placed Witham’s name in the fourth qualifying round for the first time and assistant boss Brad King has an idea over the draw that he would like when it is made today.

He said: “I’m just glad to be in the draw and we’ll all be watching today, but you could look at it two ways over who you want.

“You could hope for a lower-placed team at home to give you a decent chance of making it into the first round proper or you could hope for a big team like Bristol Rovers away.

“You get half the gate money as an away side and what that would mean in terms of money for the club would be massive.

“So there are two ways to look at it, but if I’m honest, I really want a home draw as we have been so strong there and it’s a hard place for people to come.”
