Halstead Town chairman Jim Holder has revealed Rob Munro’s desire to nurture young players was one of the main factors behind him becoming the club’s new manager.
Munro has taken charge at Rosemary Lane, following Jody Brown’s decision to step down from the role due to health reasons earlier this month.
Town are hoping that Brown will be able to assist Munro in some capacity, both at first team and Academy level.
And ensuring that Halstead continue their policy of bringing through young players was important in their decision to appoint Munro, according to Holder.
Holder said: “Rob is a well respected coach and he’s someone I have known for a number of years."
