Halstead to face local rivals in FA Cup

Halstead Town face a Ridgeons League derby in this season’s FA Cup.

Jody Brown’s side have been drawn at home against Wivenhoe Town in the extra preliminary round.

The match will take place at Rosemary Lane on August 15 and the winners will travel to play either Biggleswade United or Stotfold, in the preliminary round.

If they progress, they will then play Broxbourne Borough V&E, Enfield 1893, Crawley Green or Cranfield United in the first qualifying round.

Halstead also face local opponents in the FA Vase.

They travel to play Harwich and Parkeston in the first qualifying round on September 5.

The winners will play host to Thame United in the first qualifying round on September 5, with Dunstable Town awaiting the winners.
