COLCHESTER United came from behind to rescue a point at Mansfield Town on Saturday.
Sammie Szmodics scored their last-gasp equaliser in a 1-1 draw.
Here are our U's player ratings from the League Two encounter.
DILLON BARNES 7
Scrambled to make some contact with the Stags’ goal, but was unable to keep it out of the net.
RYAN JACKSON 8
Plenty of good work down the right and launched a missile of a throw into the box for Szmodics’ leveller.
FRANKIE KENT 8
The young centre-half produced another calm and assured performance at the heart of the defence.
LUKE PROSSER 8
Captain Marvel. Prosser led by example, barely put a foot wrong in defence was constantly organising and cajoling his back four.
KANE VINCENT-YOUNG 7
Had a couple of anxious moments late in the first half, when the hosts mounted a series of raids down the right-hand side.
TOM LAPSLIE 8
The midfielder was an injury doubt before the game but got the green light after seeing a specialist on Thursday. He was superb and worked so hard to screen the back four.
COURTNEY SENIOR 6
The weak link in the side and unable to get into the game. It was no surprise to see him replaced in the second half.
HARRY PELL 7
Pell looks an excellent addition to the U’s engine room, involved in so much of their good player. A real all-action performance.
SAMMIE SZMODICS 8
It was a simple goal but he gambled, getting behind the keeper, and was in the right place at the right time to stab home the U’s equaliser.
BRENNAN DICKENSON 7
The wide man produced a few telling runs and crosses but also drifted out of the game for spells.
FRANK NOUBLE 6
No-one could question his work-rate and some of his hold-up play caught the eye, but it was tough afternoon playing up top on his own.
SUBSTITUTES: LUKE NORRIS (for Senior, 72) 7 TOM EASTMAN (for Vincent-Young, 86) MIKA MANDRON (for Nouble, 87).
Not used: Ross (gk), Comley, Wright and Collins.
