JOINT-MANAGER Ray Turner has parted company with Holland FC.

The former striker was appointed in early May, having previously been a player for the coastal side.

However, using social media to confirm his departure, he said: "We've parted company on great terms.

"Holland are going down a different route and, unfortunately, we don't fit together at the moment."

Turner had been working alongside joint-boss Rob Batten.

Long-serving Batten had previously been in charge with Glenn Cowen, who stepped down for personal reasons after last season's final-day victory at Cornard United.

Turner had been playing for the team but announced he was hanging up his boots - and therefore ending a long and illustrious non-league career - at the end of the season.

He leaves with Holland 12th in the Thurlow Nunn League first division, heading into Saturday's home game against Downham Town.
