Another Tuesday night away day in Grimsby. After the cold 1-0 defeat last season in Cleethorpes, our encounter with Grimsby could only be better this season.

And with the form they've been in, it was a real chance to secure our first away point(s) of the season.

It was a very foggy evening and at one point during the second half, we could barely see the opposition goal from the away end.

U's fans were pleased at the change to 4-4-2 at the beginning of the match and couldn't wait to see what we could do with the extra wingers.

All was going to plan after two long range efforts from Kyel Reid had us 2-1 up approaching the final quarter of the game.

However, just like the game against Morecambe in April, John McGreal replaced an attacker with a defender on 70 minutes and this meant that the U's (in my opinion) had set up too defensive, too early.

The last 20 minutes of the game were painful and when we conceded another penalty, not one person in the away end was shocked. We had done well to hang on for 19 of the final 20 minutes!

However, myself and the other 88 away fans present gave the team the clap they deserved after getting out first point on the road all season.

Let's hope we can get another (or maybe another three) down in Yeovil on Saturday.

It's the 8.10am train for me and I can't wait to see what we've got up our sleeve this time round!
