Colchester United will travel to play Accrington Stanley on the opening day of the new Sky Bet League Two season.
John McGreal's side will start away from home for the second successive campaign, after being handed a trip to the Wham Stadium as their League Two curtain-raiser, on August 5.
Colchester will be looking to avenge their disappointing results against Stanley last season, when they were beaten home and away by the Reds.
The U's will follow up their opening-day trip to Accrington with a home game against Stevenage at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, the following Saturday (August 12).
And they then make the short trip to play last season's play-off semi-finalists Luton Town at Kenilworth Road, on August 19.
Colchester host newly-promoted Forest Green Rovers on August 26, before making a trip to play Cambridge United seven days later, meaning three of their opening five league fixtures will be away from home.
Colchester travel to play Crawley Town on Boxing Day and make the trip to Chesterfield on December 30, before hosting Cambridge on New Year's Day.
They finish the season with a trip to play last season's beaten play-off finalists Exeter City, on May 5.
