INSTEAD of fighting for the British challenge belt on June 10, I’ll now be in a four-rounder against an unbeaten opponent and my title fight will now be on September 9.

Both fights are at the York Hall which I consider to be my home venue, as do my fans.

I’m up against unbeaten Milos Kubena (1-0-1) from the Czech Republic next. He looks good in his fights.

He comes forward throwing lots of shots and big bombs so I’ve got to make sure I’m right on my game on the night.

The reason for the change is that I’m really busy with work and it has affected my sparring routines.

I need to be doing ten-rounds at least three times per week but haven’t been able to fit it in around work.

I sparred unbeaten Joe Jackson Brown and Danny Dignum at the Matchroom gym in Brentwood the other day and also been sparring my team-mate Sam Stokes.

With work being so busy, I made the decision to defer the eight rounds until September but to still fight in a four-rounder to not disappoint my fans or manager who have all invested in me for this fight.

Even though this next fight is not for a title, it’s still a tough test for me against an undefeated fighter.

If I had the sponsorship support I need then I could easily pay another fighter to work around my schedule to get the sparring that I need.

It’s there for me but I need a day off work to do it so to have a full-time sponsor that pays the bills for me to go out and focus on my craft would be the best thing I could ask for in my career.

Also, to be able to fund training camps abroad would be extremely helpful and beneficial.

To be able to go over to the famous MTK Gym in Marbella where there is world-class sparring available every day would be amazing and would do wonders for my career.

WBO world middleweight Billy Joe Saunders goes out there and I believe he’s training there now with Tyson Fury.

However, two fight dates in a row is fantastic for me considering my inactivity in previous years.

Fighting on June 10 and then September 9 is exactly the momentum I need in my career.

I’ll take a week off after this next fight.

Then I’ll be straight back in the gym with no weight to lose and still fit enough to get straight back on the grind.

I’ve been training Richie Wells and Lewis Thomas from Maldon and will be in their corner for their fights this weekend at a Golden Gloves Promotions show at Cliffs Pavillion in Southend.

It’s Richie’s debut and Lewis’ third fight but first one back in a couple of years.

They’ll do well because both have come on loads and are looking good.

It’ll make a nice change to be on the other side of the ropes for once.
