FOOTBALL-MAD youngsters had a surprise visitor during a half-term camp.
Gillingham's Cody McDonald dropped in to the event, run by Football Fun Days at Stanway Village School.
The former Witham Town striker, who went on to play for Norwich City and Coventry City before joining the Gills, watched the children learning new skills, presented medals and took part in a special Q&A.
Organiser Dan Mather said: "The children really loved seeing Cody. It made their day.
"He's been to a few camps now. He's great with the children and we can't thank him enough for coming down on his day off.
"It really means a lot and he's a great professional and role model."
Football Fun Days will be holding more camps in April.
