THEIR first visit to Harlow juniors proved a great success for Witham Rugby Club's under-11s.

Owen James showed great leadership as captain and scored the opening try in the first game, while another try from Yammi Kamansa gave a 2-0 lead at half time.

Although Harlow managed to level the scores early in the second half, Witham managed to win the game with late tries from Charlie Williams and Jack Hobden.

The second game saw Harlow take the lead, but a solo run by Harvey Hobden brought it level before the hosts scored again to lead 2-1 at half time.

Harlow moved on to lead 3-1 before Max Regan and Alfie scored.

It looked like Witham would secure a draw, but with the last play of the game, Harlow drove over the line to win.

The deciding game saw the lead swapped with James and Sidley Dines scoring.

Harlow held the lead until Beasee Duchan slid into the corner to earn a well-deserved draw.

The games were played with great spirit and player-of-the-day was Charlie Williams.
