HEYDON Mizon was Witham Running Club's first man home at the Wix Five Mile race in a new personal best of 29 minutes 43 seconds to complete his quest for gold standard.
Vicky Hunt was Witham's first lady home as she tackled her first five-mile race and earned a trophy for third lady over the line in a time of 34m 45s.
The ladies’ team of Hunt, Rachel Pearsons and Anita Grainger came in second place and the men’s team of Mizon, Chris Martin and Scott Darney were fourth.
Dawn Shilling continues to improve and knocked nine minutes off last years’ time.
