A TECHNICAL infringement on his bike denied Jesse Trayler Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship points despite finishing seventh as he competed at round three at Snetterton.

The Great Dunmow racer, who is now on board a BMW coming under the umbrella of Jones-Dorling Racing after parting company with his previous team NEI due to unforeseen circumstances.

Despite only doing his first test on the new bike a few weeks earlier, Trayler qualified his BMW ninth on the grid and had a storming start that saw him move up into fifth place by the end of lap one.

He remained in fifth place until lap eight of 12 when he fell back to sixth and eventually took the chequered flag in seventh place.

However, post-race scrutineering denied him the points he had earned on the track as his bike failed due to the ECU not being sealed.

That is a violation of the rules, however, Trayler felt hard done by as he had been to scrutineers twice prior to the race to ensure it was sealed and he had obeyed all the regulations.

It was to no avail, though, and he was subsequently ommitted from the race results.

He now stands 21st in the championship standings on nine points, ahead of the next round at Thruxton.
