FC CLACTON skipper Aaron Condon is setting his sights on a century of Seasiders goals.

The striker clocked up his 99th for the club in Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Kirkley & Pakefield.

He will now be hoping to bring up three figures in tonight's rearranged Thurlow Nunn League premier division contest at home to Thetford Town.

Just one more goal will do it and would also take him level with Sean Hillier's record for FC Clacton goals in a season, which currently stands at 29.

Clacton boss David Coyle will be without midfielder Jack Clampin, who is unavailable for personal reasons, but hopes to be able to include Louie Newland.

Newland plays his weekend football for Essex and Suffolk Border League division one high-fliers Weeley Athletic but has always remained dual registered with the Seasiders.

Tonight's game is Clacton's penultimate match of the season, with a final-day home clash against Gorleston looming on Saturday.

Coyle's men were 11th in the table prior to last night's matches and are on course for their highest-ever finish as FC Clacton, eclipsing their previous best of 15th.

Elsewhere tonight, in division one, BRAINTREE TOWN RESERVES are at home to Leiston Reserves.

HALSTEAD TOWN do not play but will be keeping close tabs on the match between Great Yarmouth and Woodbridge.

The Humbugs are currently third and sitting in the final promotion position.

However, Yarmouth are breathing down their necks just a point behind with tonight's game in hand.

Even if they only draw tonight, the Norfolk side will climb back up to third because of their far superior goal difference.

Mark Benterman's side go to Ely on Saturday, while Yarmouth have a date with Team Bury.
