Stanway suffer a heart-breaking League Cup defeat
STANWAY ROVERS suffered a dramatic League Cup exit at the hands of Godmanchester Rovers tonight.
The sides did battle in a rearranged quarter-final tie at the Hawthorns and it was the visitors who made the best start, racing into a 3-0 lead.
Stanway fought back after the break and made the score all-square, but Godmanchester pounced at the death to complete a pulsating 4-3 victory.
