Three students from Yong Gi Do Karate Club have achieved their first Dan Black Belts and five more have got Dan grade promotions.
James Chinnery and siblings Max and Iona Ridley were awarded their first Dan Black Belt, while John Miskimmin, Barry Turner and Lisa Attreed were awarded first Dan Senior, Paul Grew second Dan and Jen Miller third Dan. Kate Malyon, chief instructor at the Braintree-based club, said: “This is a fantastic end to a great year for Yong Gi Do.
“A second group of new black belts, Best in Procession at Braintree Carnival and a huge European Championship medal haul – I am really proud of the club’s achievements.”
