Scott Yearling certainly knows how to make an entrance.
The Brightlingsea Regent striker made an impressive start to his time on loan at Halstead Town and manager Mark Benterman feels he can make a real difference to their promotion push this season.
He said: “Brightlingsea have helped us out massively this year and we are very grateful to them again.
“I said to (Regent boss) James Webster that I was after a striker and we jumped at it when he suggested Scott.
“His record speaks for itself and he already knew some of our boys so it was a good fit.
“We’ve made him feel welcome and that showed on Saturday against Long Melford.
“We just sat on the touchline with our mouths open with his performance and it showed that he can play at whatever level he wants.
“Some of his link-up play with Jonah Gosling was unbelievable and we’re just hoping they can stay fit as they can fire us right up there.”
