Ryan Hutchinson ensured there was individual as well as collective glory for Braintree Bullets BMX Club after the final round of the British BMX Series at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester.
The club added to its list of achievements this year as they finished sixth out of 57 registered clubs, while Hutchinson became champion in only his second year of national racing.
Leading the overall points chart in the 16-year boys’ category before the final round, Hutchinson knew he needed a solid result to claim the title and delivered by taking command of the final for the class win and the national title.
