Maldon and Tiptree secured a 2-1 victory at Cray Wanderers.

The Jammers took the lead on 17 minutes in their Ryman League division one north match on Tuesday night through Joe Pearman.

The visitors then doubled their lead on 58 minutes.

But Wanderers pulled one back through Adrian Stone ten minutes later.

The home side’s Hussein Isa was sent off on 90 minutes and Maldon were able to hold on for the victory.

In the same division, Burnham Ramblers fell to a 4-2 defeat against visiting Harlow Town.

Harlow took the lead against Burnham through Alex Akrofi on ten minutes.

They doubled their advantage 25 minutes later when James Smith scored.

Harlow took a three goal lead through Alex Read on 38 minutes before Kye Jude pulled one back for Ramblers on 43 minutes.

But Harlow restored their advantage when Jared Small made it 4-1 on 63 minutes.

Ramblers reduced the deficit again when Isaac Aubynn scored on 82 minutes but it wasn’t enough to prevent defeat as Harlow held on to win.

It was a disappointing night for Brightlingsea Regent.

Brightlingsea stormed into a 2-0 lead against visiting Romford.

Ben Newson bagged a brace on 23 and 27 minutes to put Brightlingsea ahead.

But the night was to end on a dark note when the match had to be abandoned in the second half due to floodlight failure at North Road following a local area power cut.
