  • Live updates from the Village Glass Stadium as Witham Town look to continue their fantastic start to life in the top flight of the Ryman League

Well that was entertaining and I think a draw was a fair result over the 90 minutes.

The draw means Witham are still unbeaten since stepping up into the premier division.

See this week's paper for full reaction to the game.

That's it and it ends 1-1

Three extra minutes announced here

Yellow card for Paul King after foul on Joe Benjamin

This is more like a cup game than a league encounter.

Both sides going for the win and play switching from end to end - great entertainment

Now it's Witham pressing and block keeps Godbold out with 5 mins to go

Brilliant interception by Jay Leader denies Pedulu as Witham break with great pace

Grays Athletic sub as Joe Benjamin is on for Jamie Guy 76 mins

Witham are still having to do more of the defending here, but so far they have kept their shape well.

They need to get hold of the ball more or it will be a long last 15 minutes

Witham now make a change as John Watson is off and Shami Pedulu comes on in 73 min

Another change for Grays Athletic as Jon Glowacki is replaced by Glen Little on 70 mins

Witham have made a change also as Paul Burnett is replaced by Ryan Charles

Sub for Grays as Chris Bryan is replaced by Joao Carlos

Ball in the back of the net for Grays Athletic but flag is up and it stays 1-1. Freddie Ladapo is the man denied.

Play switches to the other end and Gough then makes a smart save from a Lewis Godbold effort

Pressure's mostly coming from Grays Athletic at the moment. They've stepped up a gear since being pegged back by Witham

Grays pressure opens up good chance for Jon Glowacki but his drive flies just past Martyn Guest's far pst and it stays 1-1 after 55 mins

Jusr for the record - there were no subs at half-time by either side.

Great start for the hosts and they do deserve to be level.

They just need to consolidate their position now as Grays are pushing on now.

GOAL and Witham draw level early in the second half.

Lewis Godbold heads home from James Stevens' excellent corner.

1-1 after 49 minutes

We're under way again here and it#s Witham on the attack early

Half-time and Grays hold the advantage with a 1-0 lead thanks to Jamie Guy's strike in the 11th minute.

It's been fairly level though and Witham have had their chances.

Should be a good second half

Two extra minutes announced. Still 1-0 to Grays

Good chance for Grays as Freddie Ladapo breaks clear of defence and forces Guest into a smart save.

Chances at both ends and next goal could have a large bearing on this game

Yellow card for Grays' Chris Bryan for foul on Seb Murfet.

25 mins gone and still 1-0 to Grays.

Josh Mayhew's curling effort from 20 yards hits the bar - close to an equaliser

That goal will be a lesson for Witham as they'd looked comfortable in the opening 10 mins but got punished for poor defending.

Grays line up with Gough, Best-Riley, Silva, Harrington, Parry, Leader, Glowacki, Beaney, Ladapo, Guy and Bryan.

Subs are Wilson, Carlos, Little, Yala and Benjamin

Witham's subs this evening are Shamido Pedulu, Kurt Smith, Ryan Charles, Connor Mead and Chico Ramos

Witham will look at their own defending for that goal as a failure to clear their lines was punished by former Colchester United striker Guy.

Guy, who was a Witham player at the start of the summer, fires home at the second attempt to put Grays ahead.

His first effort had been blocked on its way to goal by his team-mate Freddie Ladapo.

GOAL - Grays take the lead with a goal from Jamie Guy inthe 11th minute

Witham's starting line-up is Martyn Guest, Seb Murfet, Tom Wraight, Brad Stopher, Paul King, John Watson, Danny Emmanuel, James Stevens, Josh Mayhew, Louis Godbold, Paul Burnett.

Witham have made four changes from the team that beat Hampton and Richmond Borough on Saturday.

Paul King, John Watson, Josh Mayhew and Paul Burnett all return to the starting line-up while Kye Ruel, Lee Townrow, Ryan Blackman and Leon Antoine all drop out.

Witham Town have made a bright start here at the Village Glass Stadium and have the first real sight of goal.

A good move down the right sees the ball pulled back to John Watson on the edge of the box but his shot is just wide.
