Ryan Dickson is considering a new contract offer from Colchester United.

And David Wright, Dominic Vose and Mark Cousins will also be offered the chance to stay with the U’s, as boss Joe Dunne shapes his squad for next season.

Dickson’s current one-year deal expires this summer.

And the U's are keen to keep the 27-year-old at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

The former Southampton left-back, who played 35 times for Colchester this season, is now weighing up his options for next season.

Dunne said: “It’s up to Ryan - I’ve spoken to his representatives and we’ll speak again.

“His contract is up and he has a decision to make, which I can understand.

“It’s an early part of the process and we’ll move on from there.

“We have young players in the two full-back positions at this moment in time.”
