BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent finished as runners-up in the Thurlow Nunn League premier division, following today's 2-1 victory at home to Norwich United.
Phil Kelly and Rob Thorne scored their goals as James Webster's side - already assured of a top-three finish to take them up into the Ryman League - ended second in the table, behind champions Hadleigh United.
Elsewhere, FC Clacton, who started the day in danger of being relegated, ensured another season of premier division football after beating Thetford 2-1.
Stanway Rovers ended on a high after beating CRC 3-0 and Wivenhoe Town also finished with a flourish, thrashing Diss 4-1.
