Two people were attacked by a dog sparking an appeal from Essex Police for help to track down the owner.
The attack happened outside Debenhams in Southend High Street on Thursday (February 15) at 11.30am and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.
While the extent of one of the victim's injuries is unknown at this stage, a woman suffered bite wounds to her right thigh and was taken to hospital.
Police are now looking to trace the owner of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier type dog who attacked the two victims as well as any witnesses to the incident.
A spokesperson said: "Two people were bitten by a Staffordshire Bull Terrier type dog outside Debenhams in Southend High Street yesterday.
"We are appealing for witnesses to help identify the dog owner.
"If you saw or heard anything please report it on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
