The mum of a man who was found dead in the woods stormed out of a Coroner's Court today saying that she "needed to hear answers" after the inquest was adjourned.

The inquest into the death of 23-year-old Lee Evans from Stanford-le-Hope was supposed to take place today.

But Senior Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray adjourned the case as the family had concerns over the police report.

Speaking to the family, Mrs Beasley-Murray, said: "I have heard from my officers that you have some anxiety about the report.

"I have just seen the report this morning and my officers tell me you have only just seen it this morning too.

"Therefore, I am not happy to go ahead today.

"I understand that you are upset and angry but you have only just seen the report."

But, Lee's mum, Emma Evans, was disatisfied with this decision and, shortly before the court adjourned, she said: "I needed to hear answers - I need to get out of here."

Then, as everybody in the courtroom rose, Ms Evans stormed out of the room, repeating "I need to get out of here".

The body of Lee Evans, 23, was found in a wooded area of Orsett on August 13 this year following a police search operation.

A fundraising page was also set up to assist with funeral costs which has raised £830 so far. It can be accessed here.

Mrs Beasley-Murray expressed sympathy with the family, saying that he was "obviously a well-loved man."

The date of the inquest is yet to be announced.
