POLICE have arrested a teenager in connection with an assault at a bar in Southend where a woman was left with injuries to her face.

An CCTV appeal and investigation was launched after the woman, in her 20s, was punched in the face in the smoking area at Revolution, in Queens Road, Southend, just after midnight last Saturday, May 20.

The woman suffered injuries to her face and was left needing hospital treatment.

Police have now arrested a 19-year-old woman from Leigh in connection with the incident.

A spokesman said: "We have identified a woman in connection with an assault in Revolutions in Queens Road, Southend, just after midnight on Saturday, May 20.

"A 19-year-old woman from Leigh arrested on suspicion of ABH on Thursday, May 25, has been released under investigation.
