A MAN in his 30s was stabbed in the back and bashed over the head. 

The incident happened at 1.30am this morning, when the victim was in Malting Villas Road at the rear of an address in Middle Mead. 

A dark-coloured Audi pulled up and a man got out of the from back.

Following a verbal altercation, the man stabbed the victim and struck him on the head with an unknown object.

The victim suffered a stab woundon his back.

He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police are appealing for information following an assault in Rochford.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was in Malting Villas Road at the rear of an address in Middle Mead at around 1.30am today (Saturday, April 29) when a dark-coloured Audi pulled up and a man got out of the from the rear.

PC Christopher Morgan said: “We believe this was an isolated, targeted attack and do not believe there is any threat posed to the wider public.

“I’m keen to speak to anyone who was in the area this morning, saw the vehicle, or has any other information about the incident.”
