PEOPLE living in Basildon and Billericay have been urged to keep their eyes peeled for a stolen red Chevrolet Corvette after it was allegedly spotted in the area.
Architect Tom Moss, 60, is searching for his pride and joy after he reported it stolen from a garage in Mawney Close, Collier Row, on March 21.
Since then, he has had two calls from people living in the district saying that they had seen it, after pictures were posted on Facebook.
The rare classic car, from 1962, is only one of six that exist in this country.
Mr Moss, from Romford, said: “This car means a lot to me, I have had it for 22 years and it is an investment. I am heavily into Corvettes, I am treasurer of the National Corvette Restorers Society.”
