A CRAFT club is getting ready for its biggest yarn bomb yet this Easter.
As part of Project Communitree, the Craft Club Yarnbombers, based in Leigh, plan to crochet and knit Easter eggs to decorate an as yet unidentified tree.
Group member Rebecca Burton, 35, from Benfleet, said: “We run regular workshops down at the Leigh Fishermen’s Chapel that are always full and those taking part liked the idea of contributing to our next project.
“Communitree is about supporting local parks in the wake of all the cuts being made to support our park maintenance. We hope as many people as possible will make Easter eggs to be hung on the tree.”
The popular group has previously run several yarn bomb campaigns across Southend, spreading cheer in the local community.

The next workshop is on March 10.
