THE owner of a virtual races company, Medal Run, has offered to run a month long virtual marathon in support of Havens Hospices next month.
The offer follows the sudden cancellation of Havens Hospices Memory Marathon which was due to take place in March.
The event was cancelled after seafront traders objected to road closures for the event.
The virtual race will open at 12:01am on March 1 and will close at 11:59pm March 31. There are 600 places and participants have the whole month to complete their 26.2-mile marathon.
They just need to keep a record of their runs via a training app or sports watch and send that information to Medal Run when they have completed their marathon to receive an official Run to Remember medal
