A TEENAGE boy has been charged in connection with a disturbance at a takeaway in Wickford.
Police were called at 3.10pm on Sunday, January 15 to reports of an incident at Favorite Chicken and Ribs in High Street, Wickford.
A chair was thrown over the counter, causing it to break, during the incident.
A 15-year-old boy from Wickford was arrested and charged with criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon, a lock knife, in a public place.
He is due to appear at Basildon Youth Court on February 21.
Special constable Robert Hill arrested the boy on one of his first days on the job.
