AN MP wants to hear about worthy local charities.
James Duddridge, MP for Rochford and Southend East, is once again calling on constituents to nominate a local charity to receive a Christmas donation.
Up until 2010 Mr Duddridge sent more than 1,000 Christmas cards each year which involved a large financial cost.
Instead of sending Christmas cards, he now makes a donation to a local charity determined by his constituents.
Nominations can be made via www.jamesduddridge.com, in writing to his constituency office or by telephone. The charity with the most support will be presented with the donation.
Mr Duddridge said: "I am pleased to offer a seasonal donation to a local charity and I am looking forward to seeing the range of deserving causes those who live in Rochford and Southend East nominate.
"I am taking suggestions via email, letter and telephone so I encourage everyone to take part."
