SOUTHEND choirs could be heard from across the water as they performed at the end of the pier.
The Southend Boys’ and Girls’ choirs performed a programme of songs including solos, duets and group numbers, conducted by Roger Humphrey in a very successful concert at the weekend.
A spokeswoman for the choir said: “The choirs performed to a very appreciative audience in the unique setting of the Royal Pavilion.
“Their programme included sacred and secular music, including some “sea” based numbers.”
The choir, which has recently returned from a two-week concert tour to Canada, have an extremely busy season ahead with concerts across the county and in London.
